Assalamualaikum..
Dah lama sgt tak makan pemanis mulut rasanya. Asyik tengok dlm instagram mcm2 dessert yg menyelerakan..haihhhh. Tergoda sungguh bila tgk IG Kitchenguardian ni. Kalau tak caya, korang tengok la sendiri. Tiap ari ada je yg menggoda jiwa. So, arini dgn penuh keazaman sy nak try buat Victoria Sandwich Cake. Tak tahan tengok cream & strawberry jam yg meleleh2 tu.
Bila tido je si tecik tu, dgn segera sy memulakan percubaan utk but VSC. Sy guna loyang 8" sebab tak ada loyang 7". Tak dapat la nak jd kek 3 lapis, jd 2 lapis je. Ok juga 2 lapis pun, tetap sama rasanya..hehehe. Tengah tak sabar tunggu kek masak, tetiba blackout la plak. Haihhhh, apa la yg terjadi pd kek tu kan..hampir 15min gak la. Lps tu sy pun sambung la masak blk. Tp tak pasti samada nak tambah masa bape lama.
Dan akhirnya bila dah siap, rupanya kek tu agak terlebih masak..tergaring sedikit n a bit dry. Agak kecewa gak la, dah lama mengidam ni, tetiba jd mcm ni. Tp nasib rasanya tetap sedap. Bila digeget dgn cream+raspberry jam tu tersangat la asyik rasanya. Ada lemak2, tiba2 dtg pula rasa masam2 manis dr jam, geget plak kek yg gebuss. Aishhh, susah nak cite..kena rasa sendri la nampak gayanya..hehehe.
Owh ya, yg tengah tu dy layer dgn raspberry jam & swiss meringue buttercrem. In Sya Allah nanti sy akan bg resipi swiss meringue buttercream tu ya. Skang meh kita tgk resipi kek nya dulu.
Victoria Sandwich Cake

Ingredients
250g butter, leave soft, I used tatura
250g caster sugar, I used 220g because I added golden syrup
5 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp golden syrup, I used Lyons, can get it from Cold Storage
2-3 tbsp milk
280g self-raising flourg this recipe best!
Victoria Sandwich Cake

250g butter, leave soft, I used tatura
250g caster sugar, I used 220g because I added golden syrup
5 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp golden syrup, I used Lyons, can get it from Cold Storage
2-3 tbsp milk
280g self-raising flourg this recipe best!
Raspberry jam (sy guna St. Dalfour)
Method
Preheat oven at 170C.
Cream butter and sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. I used my wooden ladle! Add eggs in three additions! What I did was to break 5 eggs and beat slightly and measured 250g. Lastly add srf in 3 additions, fold in milk until incorporated.
I used 3, 7 inches round cake tins...and I liked them! Bake for about 30 minutes until golden in colour.
Let cool and sandwich with Raspberry jem, and sprinkle sugar on top!
